Arson attack house in Middlesbrough No-one was seriously hurt in the suspected arson attack

A man has been arrested after five people, including two children, escaped a suspected arson attack on Teesside.

Two women aged 57 and 27, a man, 29, a girl, aged three, and a boy, aged five, fled the property in Millbrook Avenue, Middlesbrough early on Sunday.

No-one was seriously hurt, but Cleveland Police said the blaze was being treated as suspicious.

A force spokeswoman said a man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and arson.
