Liam Kennedy found guilty of Ryan Armstrong murder
A man has been jailed for life after being found guilty of murdering a man at a house party in North Tyneside.
Liam Kennedy, 22, stabbed Ryan Armstrong, 25, at a house in Burn Closes Crescent, Wallsend, in February.
Det Ch Insp Christina Barrett said Kennedy had shown "no regard" for his victim's family by making them "endure" a trial. The case highlighted the dangers of carrying knives, she added.
Kennedy will serve a minimum of 16 years.
