Kathleen Heslop Kathleen Heslop was killed at about 22:25 BST on Saturday

A man has been charged with causing the death of a 65-year-old pedestrian in Northumberland.

Kathleen Heslop died along with her pet dog as she crossed the B6395 Stonyflat Bank in Prudhoe, on Saturday.

A local man, 26, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and a number of other motoring offences. He is due in court on Tuesday.

A 28-year-old woman also arrested in connection with Ms Heslop's death has been released with no further action.
