Biker Steven Brown dies after Stakeford crash

A motorcyclist has died after suffering serious head injuries in a crash in Northumberland.

Steven Brown came off his bike in Stakeford on Wednesday and was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, where he died on Thursday.

Northumbria Police said the 28-year-old, from Stakeford, was riding the bike in Gordon Terrace at the time.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 18:10 BST.
