Woman injured by unattended police car in Newcastle
The car was parked on a road next to the Arena
A woman was hurt when she was struck by an unattended police car which rolled down a hill in Newcastle.
Officers who were called to an incident inside the Arena and parked the marked vehicle at the side of the venue.
A few moments later it moved, hitting the 36-year-old. She suffered facial injuries and remains in hospital.
Northumbria Police said it was carrying out a full investigation into the incident, at about 19:45 GMT on Saturday, and appealed for witnesses.
