Murder arrests after Jesmond death

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a flat in Newcastle.

The body of David Kochs, 43, was discovered at a property in Dulverton Court, Jesmond, on Saturday afternoon.

Northumbria Police said a post-mortem examination had revealed Mr Kochs of Gateshead, died as a result of injuries sustained during an assault.

The arrested men, aged 39 and 45, have been bailed pending further inquiries, police confirmed.
