Driver dies after Northumberland crash between car and lorry

A teenage motorist has died after a crash between his car and a lorry in Northumberland.

Emergency services were called at 08:27 GMT after a crash involving a Citroen and a lorry on the B6350 between the villages of Carham and Wark.

Northumbria Police said David Ure, 18, of Wark, was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.

A section of the road was closed for about eight hours.
