Ryan Armstrong house party death: Man, 21, charged with murder

A man has been charged with murder after a 25-year-old died following a house party in North Tyneside.

Ryan Armstrong, 25, died of a stab wound in Burn Closes Crescent, Wallsend, in the early hours of Saturday.

Liam Kennedy, 21, of Martin Road, Wallsend, has been charged with his murder and will appear before North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Three women aged 19, 45 and 20 have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two men and a woman have been released without further action, Northumbria Police said.

A statement released by Mr Armstrong's family said: "He was a hard working lad who was a lovely man. We are a close family."
