Ryan Armstrong house party murder: Family pay tribute

The family of a man who died following a fight at a house party in North Tyneside said he was a "lovely man".

Ryan Armstrong, 25, was found with a stab wound in Burn Closes Crescent, Wallsend, in the early hours of Saturday.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he was pronounced dead.

Northumbria Police said seven people have been arrested in connection with the murder inquiry.

Mr Armstrong was at the house party when a fight broke out, police said.

A statement released by his family said: "He was a hard working lad who was a lovely man. We are a close family."
