Seaton Burn car park shooting: Four more arrested

Four more arrests have been made by police investigating the shooting of a man in a pub car park on Friday.

The 54-year-old was shot in the back as he got out of his car at the Six Mile Bridge Inn in Seaton Burn, Tyneside.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said the attack was "believed to involve internal disputes between criminals in the area".

Five men aged 21, 22, 23, 47 and 52, and a 25-year-old woman, have now been arrested and are being questioned.

Police said the man who was shot was still in hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.
