Newcastle City Council meeting delayed by cuts protest
Anti-cuts protesters delayed the start of a Newcastle City Council meeting after entering the chamber.
A meeting of all councillors had been due to begin at 18:00 GMT.
The council has announced proposals to save £90m from its budget, which included closing libraries and cutting arts funding.
Northumbria Police Chief Constable Sue Sim and the force's Police and Crime Commissioner Vera Baird were due to address the meeting.
