Coxhoe bridge 'missile' throwing on A1 leads to two arrests

Two teenagers have been arrested after "missiles" were thrown at traffic from a bridge on the A1 motorway.

Durham Police said the pair, aged 17 and 19, were questioned after a CCTV appeal was issued following an incident on 13 November in Coxhoe.

That footage prompted a number of calls from members of the public.

The teenagers, both from West Cornforth, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and have been bailed until January.
