Newcastle raiders steal Rolex watches and diamond rings

Almost £60,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen from a house in Newcastle.

Five Rolex, Breitling and Schaffhausen watches, two diamond rings, a platinum necklace and a platinum ring were taken from the house on Barmoor Drive, Great Park, police say.

Thieves also took three cameras, a video camera and a laptop computer.

Northumbria Police say the burglary happened between 15:00 GMT and 16:00 GMT on Monday and are appealing for information.
