North Tyneside warehouse fire crewing scaled down
Northumbria Police said the cause of the fire was under investigation
A huge fire at a warehouse in North Tyneside is now under control - 24 hours after the blaze first broke-out.
About 50 firefighters and 15 fire engines were tackling the blaze at the Ramage Transport warehouse on New York Way industrial estate on Saturday.
A spokesman from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service said staffing had now been "scaled down" and three fire engines were at the site.
Northumbria Police said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
The fire service is in discussion with the local authority about the possibility of demolishing the warehouse.
