Possible sightings of missing man Alexander Cromar
Mr Cromar travels widely on public transport
Police searching for an 88-year-old South Tyneside man said there had been more than 80 possible sightings of him.
Alexander Cromar was last seen on the afternoon of 3 June on a path near Concorde Way, in Jarrow, and was reported missing on 6 June.
Northumbria Police said following their appeals for help there had been a good response from the public.
They said Mr Cromar is hard of hearing and suffers from mild dementia. He is 5ft 4ins, skinny and has white hair.
Ch Supt Ian Dawes of Northumbria Police said: "There will be lots of people out and about this weekend so we are asking them to keep an eye out for Mr Cromar.
"We need to find him as soon as possible because he is an elderly man who is not in very good health. He is hard of hearing and suffers from mild dementia and can become confused at times.
"We have had a really good response from the public so far with more than 80 possible sightings, and we are asking people to continue to help us."
