Two arrested over shooting in Walker, Newcastle

Police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting in Walker, Newcastle.

The arrests come after a man, 24, arrived at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary hospital with a bullet wound to his arm at 18:30 BST on Monday.

His injuries were not life threatening and are thought to be from a hand gun.

A man, 24, arrested on suspicion of wounding and a woman, 30, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have both been bailed.
