Shoe shop empire clocks up 90 years

One of Teesside's best-known family-owned companies has notched up 90 years in business.

Clinkard's opened its first shoe shop in Middlesbrough in 1924.

In the intervening years, it has grown to be a major employer - something of a footwear empire, with a workforce of 550.

Managing director Charles Clinkard and manager Steve Atkinson reflect on its story.
