Up to 200 jobs are to be created in County Durham after a clothing manufacturer signed a deal with a supermarket chain.
The AMA Group, at Whitehouse Business Park, Peterlee, has secured a contract with Tesco to produce clothing for their Florence and Fred (F&F) range.
The group said more than 150 people will be taken on over the next months to join the existing 25 machinists.
AMA managing director Julie Price, said it was a "big day" for the company.
A spokesman for F&F said the company was "really pleased" to be bringing back jobs to an area with such a strong textile manufacturing heritage.
