Teresa Ryan Her family said Teresa Ryan would be deeply missed

The family of a woman who died in a house fire on Teesside after celebrating her 50th birthday say they have been left traumatised.

Teresa Ryan, 50, was rescued from a house on Warton Street in North Ormesby on 9 July but she died at the scene.

Police said a 32-year-old Middlesbrough man will appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court later charged with two counts of burglary.

He was also arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.

Ms Ryan's family said in a statement: "On the night she died we had been out for a meal as a family to celebrate her 50th birthday.

"What was a happy celebration of a key milestone in her life has now turned out to be catastrophic and we are left wondering how and why this has happened... She will be deeply missed by the whole family."
