Woman dies in North Ormesby house fire

A woman has died in a house fire on Teesside, crews have said.

The blaze started at a property in Warton Street in North Ormesby late on Wednesday night.

A 50-year-old woman was rescued from the terraced property, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cleveland Police said it was treating the fire as "unexplained" and was carrying out a joint investigation with the fire service.
