Woman's body found in Middlesbrough house

A woman's body has been found at a property in Teesside.

The dead woman was discovered at an address on Parliament Road, Middlesbrough, at 03:35 BST after police received a call from a "concerned member of the public".

Cleveland Police said the woman's death "is currently being treated as sudden and unexplained".

A spokeswoman said she had not yet been formally identified but it is believed she was from overseas.

A post-mortem examination will be held later.

Officers put a cordon in place at the scene and detectives began making house-to-house enquiries as well as collecting CCTV footage from the area.
