A bridge that collapsed during flooding in September has reopened.

The bridge at Mill Lane in Skinningrove opened to traffic on Thursday allowing bus services to return to normal, Redcar and Cleveland Council said.

The Environment Agency recorded between 93% and 155% of the average monthly rainfall for the area in a six-hour period on 6 September.

Volunteer wardens had to close the village's flood gates when engineers were delayed by road conditions.
