A689 crash death man named as Scott Ineson
A man who died in a crash on the A689 between Bradbury and Sedgefield in County Durham has been named by police.
Scott Ineson, 26, from Milton Avenue in Hebburn, South Tyneside, was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash at about 12:40 GMT on Thursday.
Mr Ineson's Ford Fiesta Zetec collided with a Skoda Fabia on the westbound carriageway near junction 60 of the A1.
The driver of the Skoda, a 64-year-old woman from Durham, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Her passenger, a 41-year-old man also from Durham, is also in hospital with what are thought to be minor injuries.
