A689 crash leaves one man dead and two in hospital

A man has been killed in a crash involving two cars in County Durham.

Durham Police said it happened on the A689 between Bradbury and Sedgefield at 12:40 GMT.

The man, believed to have been in his 20s, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. He has not yet been identified.

A man and woman in the second car were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
