Cyclist dies in Billingham crash with two vans

A cyclist has died in a crash involving two vans on Teesside.

The crash happened in Haverton Hill Road, Billingham, at about 16:40 GMT on Sunday.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital and is said to be in a stable condition. The male driver of the Vauxhall Vivaro van was uninjured.
