A man has been jailed for 14 years after a "horrific" spade attack which led to a man losing part of his nose.

The 50-year-old victim was left with severe facial injuries after being attacked in Middlesbrough on 16 June.

Brian Keogh, 36, of Deepdale Avenue, Middlesbrough, was cleared of attempted murder but found guilty of wounding with intent at Teesside Crown Court.

Keogh was also sentenced to two years concurrent for unlawful wounding after an altercation with the man's son.
