Dave McLuckie denies witness intimidation

A former Cleveland Police Authority chairman has appeared in court to deny witness intimidation.

Dave McLuckie, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court to answer the charge relating to an alleged incident in Skelton, near Redcar, in March.

The 52-year-old, from Great Ayton, North Yorkshire, was granted conditional bail.

Mr McLuckie will now appear before a judge at Newcastle Crown Court on 5 July.
