Car hits house in Rostrevor Avenue, Stockton

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a car smashed into the living room of a house in Stockton.

The Toyota Avensis damaged a wall and bay window when it became wedged in the front of the home on Rostrevor Avenue, Roseworth, at about 15:30 BST.

Fire crews cut the driver from the car and he was taken to North Tees University Hospital for treatment.

Cleveland Police said a 36-year-old man had been arrested and made an appeal for witnesses.
