Family of Ken Wetherell pay tribute after Nunthorpe crash

Ken Wetherell Mr Wetherell was "loved and respected", his family said.

The family of an 82-year-old man who was killed in a car crash on Teesside say he will be "sadly missed".

Ken Wetherell, from Redcar, died after the crash on the A1043 Nunthorpe bypass on Friday.

In a statement, his family said he was a "wonderful husband, father, granddad and brother".

Carol Ann Gill from Bridlington also died in the collision. The 58-year-old was a former army staff sergeant.

Police said the crash involved a Volvo car, a Peugeot van and a Jaguar.
