Worsening landslip closes A67 at Low Carlbury

A busy commuter route has been closed because of a worsening landslip.

The A67 at Low Carlbury between High Coniscliffe and Piercebridge, near Darlington, has been shut for safety reasons while engineers investigate the situation.

Darlington Council said the decision was taken when further movement was identified. Temporary traffic lights had been in place before the closure.

A signposted diversion has been set up along the B6275.
