Arrests after missing teenager found in Seaton Carew

Two people have been arrested in connection with harbouring and assisting a 14-year-old boy who was missing for nearly three weeks.

The boy went missing from outside an address in Thornaby at about 16:00 GMT on 10 February.

He has now been found "safe and well" after being spotted by a police officer on Friday in Seaton Carew, police said.

A 26-year-old man and a woman have been arrested. They are currently in police custody.
