Hartlepool allotment fires could have been arson

An investigation has started into two "serious" fires at separate allotment sites in a Teesside town.

Cleveland Fire Brigade was called to reports of seven sheds on fire at Belle Vue in Hartlepool in the early hours of Sunday.

As crews were dealing with the incident, a blaze started at Brierton Lane allotments.

Andy Hardy from the fire brigade said there were signs of "forced entry". Cleveland Police are investigating.
