Teesside drivers warned over snow showers

With snow continuing to fall in parts of Teesside, drivers have been warned to take care on the roads.

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert, although the heaviest of the showers are due to ease later.

All major routes remain open, but hazardous conditions have been reported on the A174 between Redcar and North Yorkshire.

Hartlepool United's home game against Colchester was earlier called off due to a frozen pitch at Victoria Park.
