Man sought after acid left on Middlesbrough train
A man who left hydrochloric acid on a train in Middlesbrough is being sought by police.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Middlesbrough station at about 21:15 GMT on Sunday, after reports of a burning smell on board a Northern Rail train to Darlington.
Officers found a bottle on the train, which was later identified by the fire service as a form of hydrochloric acid.
The train and station were evacuated as a precaution. No one was hurt.
Police have now released CCTV pictures of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
