Man, 22, charged with Middlesbrough rapes

A 22-year-old man has been charged with two counts of rape after two women reported being attacked in Middlesbrough.

Cleveland Police had appealed for witnesses following two attacks in the Tollesby area of the town.

A 19-year-old woman reported being raped at a house on 8 August and a 20-year-old woman said she was attacked on 17 October.

The man, who is from Middlesbrough, will appear before magistrates later.
