A man has been arrested over two rapes in the Middlesbrough area which police have linked.
Cleveland Police said the 22-year-old local man was arrested early on Friday on suspicion of two counts of rape and was in custody.
The arrest comes after a 19-year-old woman reported being raped at a house on 8 August and a 20-year-old woman reported an attack on 17 October.
A force spokesman renewed an appeal for witnesses.
