The 200-year-old former Quaker Friends' Meeting House in Dovecot Street, Stockton, is undergoing a £1m revamp.

Once complete, in 2013, the building will offer space for digital and new media businesses.

There will be a membership system which will also give firms access to general networking areas, support services and business advice.

Half the money is coming from the council, the rest from a European Regional Development grant.

The work, on the Grade II-listed building is part of the £20m regeneration programme for Stockton.
