Police have arrested a man in Middlesbrough on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body.

The body was found at an address in Cherwell Terrace, Brambles Farm, in the early hours.

Police said the woman had died after a "targeted, domestic-related incident" and issued a description of a man they wanted to speak to.

A 47-year-old man was arrested in the town centre on Monday afternoon.

The woman's body was found at about 01:00 BST.

Her name has not yet been confirmed by police.
