Hartlepool Council invitation to voluntary groups

Voluntary and community groups in Hartlepool have been urged to help shape the way the council will work with them in the future.

The Labour-run authority's planned £5.5m annual savings package will lead to funding cuts for such organisations.

It is holding a public consultation on a proposed new strategy.

A workshop is being held at Belle Vue Community Centre in the town on Friday. People will have the chance to ask questions and offer their comments.

The consultation, which is also online, is running until 27 April.
