Cameron welcomes new Nissan jobs
Prime Minister David Cameron has welcomed news that carmaker Nissan is to build a new model at its plant in Sunderland.
The Japanese company said the as-yet un-named hatchback, would result in more than 1,000 jobs in total being created in the North East of England, when production begins in 2014.
It is the second major jobs announcement in as many months from Nissan, and has been welcomed as a vote of confidence in the region.
