Body on Brighton beach death 'not suspicious'

The death of an 84-year-old man whose body was found on a beach in Brighton is not being treated as suspicious.

A section of the beach, near Volks Railway, was cordoned off after the body was found by a member of the public at 09:25 BST on Sunday.

Coastguard search teams helped Sussex police officers at the scene, to the east of the Brighton Wheel.

On Monday, Sussex Police said the man had not been formally identified and a post mortem had not been carried out.
