Brighton beach cordoned off after body found

A section of Brighton beach has been cordoned off after the body of a man was found by a member of the public.

Sussex Police said emergency services were called after the discovery was made near Volks Railway at 09:25 BST.

Coastguard search teams were with police officers on the scene, to the east of the Brighton Wheel.

A police spokesman said it was too early to say how the man died or whether his death was suspicious. The coroner's office has been informed.
