Pedestrian, 87, dies after Worthing crossing crash

An 87-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Worthing, West Sussex.

She suffered critical injuries after being hit close to the junction of Dominion Road and Southdown View Road at about 18:50 BST on Tuesday.

The woman was taken to hospital in Southampton, but died on Saturday night, Sussex Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who saw the silver Ford Focus estate involved is asked to contact police.
