Bexhill dog fight 'injury victim', 74, dies

A man believed to have fallen and hit his head while his dog was involved in a fight with another dog has died.

The 74-year-old died at his home in Jubilee Road, Bexhill, East Sussex, on Wednesday, having been unwell since the incident in the town on 20 July.

Appealing for witnesses, police said his dog had been in a fight with a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog in Turkey Road.

He did not report the incident to police or seek medical treatment.

Det Insp Gavin Patch said officers wanted to hear from anyone who may have seen two men with dogs in the area between 10:00 BST and midday to establish whether the events had contributed to his death.
