Teenager attacked and raped in Bexhill

Hastings Road at the junction with School Place, Bexhill The attacker left scene towards Pebsham Way, police say

An 18-year-old woman was raped in Bexhill in East Sussex in the early hours of Sunday morning, police said.

The victim was walking along Hastings Road near the junction with School Place at about 04:00 BST.

Sussex Police said she was approached by a man who grabbed her and pushed her into some bushes before raping her.

He was described as black, of large build and wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt, short tracksuit bottoms and a black baseball cap.

He left the scene of the attack and went towards Pebsham Way, a police spokesman said.
