Litlington rally brothers' Lagonda M45 running well after 80 years

Two brothers are competing in a round-Britain rally in a car bought by their grandfather 80 years ago.

James and Andrew Mann, from Litlington, near Eastbourne in East Sussex, are driving their grandfather Conrad Mann's Lagonda M45 in the six-day 1,000 Mile Trial.

In 1934, Conrad and his brother completed an RAC rally of a similar distance.

The brothers say the car, which has more than 400,000 miles on the clock, runs as well as ever.

Piers Hopkirk spoke to James and Andrew Mann and their father Richard Mann.
