South Downs National Park gets new Midhurst headquarters

14 May 2014 Last updated at 14:40 BST

The South Downs National Park Authority has new headquarters, four years after the park came into being.

The new visitor centre at Midhurst in West Sussex was once a grammar school attended by science fiction writer H.G. Wells, who also taught there.

The building's conversion was originally budgeted at £1.5m but has actually cost £4m.

Sean Killick spoke to Trevor Beattie, from the authority.
