Blind man injured in St Leonards-on-Sea hit-and-run

A blind man was injured in a hit-and-run as he walked over a pedestrian crossing in East Sussex.

Sussex Police said the man, who was holding a cane, was left dazed and injured in the middle of the road.

The crash, which happened at Marina's junction with London Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, at about 08:30 BST on 2 May, has just been revealed by the force.

The man was helped by a passer-by and taken to hospital with foot injuries. Officers are appealing for witnesses.
