Body of missing UK tourist Wayne Davies found

Ellie Price reports: Wayne Davies' family have had their worst fears confirmed

The body of a British tourist who went missing following a night out in the Dutch city of Leiden has been recovered from a canal, police have said.

Police divers had been searching waterways for Wayne Davies, 22, who went missing after leaving the Hifi nightclub, early on 19 April.

Mr Davies, from East Grinstead in West Sussex, was staying in Leiden's Golden Tulip hotel with two friends.

His bank card has not been used since he went missing.

Dutch Police had said the apprentice plumber could have tripped into the city's extensive network of canals.
