Man released without charge after M23 crash at Crawley
A man arrested when a 19-year-old was hit by a car on the M23 near Crawley has been freed without charge.
The man, 33, was arrested by police on suspicion of travelling in a stolen car after the crash on 9 February.
The teenager, who had been in the same vehicle, received head injuries when he was hit by a car while he was believed to be running away from police.
Sussex Police said the vehicle the pair had been in had been briefly pursued in Moat Road, East Grinstead.
It was also involved in a collision with another car in London Road and failed to stop at the scene.
The vehicle was then abandoned in Stace Way, Crawley, and two men ran from the car.
The teenager, from Crawley Down, was then struck by a car going northbound on the motorway.
The incident was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which passed the case back to Sussex Police for investigation.
